Bandar Seri Begawan - With effect from November 16, Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Dept is handing over the management of the on-street parking operations to Haneen Parking Company in certain areas of Bandar Seri Begawan by introducing a new system called the 'Pay & Display Parking System'.
The new system in town will be implemented as a replacement for the scratch coupons, with a number of 'Pay & Display' dispensing machines installed at the relevant locations within the municipality.
The machine will require the following steps:
1) The user will have to go to the nearest 'Pay & Display' machine after parking their vehicle at any of the given lots;
2) Key in their car registration number (excluding the alphabets);
3) Insert coins as per required according to the desired duration;
4) The machine will then produce a ticket to be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle; ensuring that the ticket can be clearly seen for enforcement purposes.
The parking rates remain the same as before, which is at 50 cents for every half hour duration.
Areas with 'Pay & Display System' are Jalan Pemancha, Jalan Roberts, Jalan Elizabeth II, Jalan Kianggeh (Lapau Atas), Jalan Kianggeh (Tamu), Lorong Panggung, Lorong Swasta (PGGMB) and Jalan Kianggeh.
