Bandar Seri Begawan - Even in the busiest part of Bandar Seri Begawan, a 36-year-old former teacher named Lok Bandhu Karki stands out among the crowds, along with his bicycle with three flags - the Nepalese flag, a peace dove flag and Brunei Darussalam's National flag, as well as a plaque which read, "World Peace Tour 2004-2017-Nepal".

Karki (Pictured) has travelled to 53 districts of Nepal with his bicycle for a year and six months, with a mission of preaching a simple but common message- "Permanent Peace and Real Humanity all over the World," and he decided to extend his journey by visiting countries all over the world.

Leaving Nepal on December 7, 2004, he has visited 87 countries so far, promoting world peace and universal brotherhood using his bike.

"I sold my land just to accomplish my mission," Karki mentioned, in order to fulfil his desire to tour the countries of the world.

"In the beginning, there were four of us who bring the message of peace to countries that suffer wars, conflicts and violence, distributing peace pamphlets. Two of them have passed away in 2006 due to severe injuries in Laos and malaria sickness in Bangladesh, and one has to return back to Nepal due to breathing problems during our journey to Jordan," Karki explained, to which he has been travelling alone for six and a half years.

Karki is now on his fourth passport, as well as riding on his sixth bicycle. His first three were worn out and were sent back to Nepal for public display, while one was stolen in Congo, and he had to leave his two bicycles in Senegal and South Korea as checking bicycles into a plane was more expensive than the cost of the bike itself.
