Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday organised a prize presentation ceremony for the winners of the National Maulud Nabi Assembly and Procession at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Kg Pulaie.
Present to hand over the prizes was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman.
As many as I4I teams comprising 17,501 participants took part in the Maulud Nabi celebration.
The winner of the Primary/Religious/Arabic Preparatory/Private School category was Sungai Akar Arabic School, which brought home a cash prize of B$5,000; Lumapas Religious School came in second place (B$3,000); and in third place was Lambak Kanan Religious School (B$2,000).
In the Secondary/Arabic/College/Higher Education Institutions/Private Schools, Hassanal Bolkiah Boys' Arabic Secondary School emerged as the winner (B$7500) followed by Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical School (B$5,500) and Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (B$3500). Winners in both categories also received a trophy and certificate each.
For the Government Ministries and Departments category, the Ministry of Development received B$5,000 for coming in first place followed by the Ministry of Defence (B$3,000) and Ministry of industry and Primary Resources (B$2,000). The winners also received a trophy and certificate each. In the category of Mukim/Kampong/ Kampong and Mukim Consultative Council/Takmir Masjid Committee, Kampong Limau Manis Mosque emerged in first place (B$5,000) followed by Kampong Perpindahan Serasa Muara Mosque Takmir Committee Members and Youth (B$3,000) and Perdana Wangsa Haji Mohammad Mosque, Kampong Setia (B$2,000). They also received a trophy and certificate each.
Lastly, prizes were presented to the winners of the Private Sector and Associations category, where TelBru came in first (B$3,500), Macteel Engineering Sdn Bhd second (B$1,500) and Persatuan Masyarakat Indonesia (PERMAI) third (B$I,000). All of them received a trophy and certificate each.
