M'sian Fined $14,300 For Drugs

Bandar Seri Begawan - A malaysian man who has been found guilty after a trial for possession of about 15 grammes of cannabis worth about $11,000, consumption of the drug and possession of utensils was sentenced on Monday to a fine of $14,300 or serve 16 months in jail in default.

The defendant was given two months to settle the fine.

Wong Keng Voon was acquitted of a charge of possession of the drug for the purpose of trafficking as the prosecution failed to prove he was trafficking the drug.
