Bandar Seri Begawan - The Management Services Department (MSD), Prime Minister's Office, has sent two of its officers, Dayang Norhalizah binti Haji Serudin, Management Services Officer, and Awang Mohammad Haji Amiruddin bin Haji Suhai, Assistant Management Services Officer, to Malaysia for a two-month internship programme at strategic agencies in Malaysia.

Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning (MAMPU) and the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) are chosen, as MSD's strategic partners for this internship programme for their roles as leaders in reforms and best practices, which can be served as a benchmark to Brunei Darussalam's Public Service.

The internship programme commenced on October 1 and runs until November 30. This programme is expected to bridge the gap of expertise required to prepare MSD in enhancing its role as in-house consultant and advisor to public service management. It is also hoped to provide MSD's interns with exposure to acquire management tools and techniques as well as a platform to exchange information with the strategic partners.
