Bandar Seri Begawan - The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced that a sewerage pipe (600mm diameter) leak was Monday reported near the Main Pumping Station at No 6, Jalan Residency in Bandar Seri Begawan.

As soon as the leak was identified, the department called for repair works to be carried out with road diversions made to divert the traffic away from the location with ongoing repair works.

Given the extent of the works needed, which involves repair to aging sewer pipes, the department estimates works may take approximately two weeks to be completed.

The public is advised to be cautious whilst going through the construction area and to follow the road safety signs set up.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused, and complaints regarding the matter can be directed to the Ministry of Development's Customer Care hotline at 140.
