Bandar Seri Begawan - Officers and staff of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and its departments recently held a Tahlil for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, at the Royal Mausoleum at Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The function was attended by some 200 individuals from the ministry and its departments, led by the Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman.
Also present at the function were the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi bin Hj Md Yussof, senior officers at the ministry, officers and staff from the district offices as well as Mukim Penghulus and village heads. Headed by Awg Hj Ismail bin Hj Abdul Manaf, Acting Permanent Secretary at the ministry, the event commenced with the recital of the Surah al-Fatihah.
