Kiarong - To mark the Maulidur Rasul celebrations for the year 1434H, some 200 officers and staff from the Ministry of Development took part in a Dikir event at the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah last night.

The delegation was led by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development. Also present was Awang Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development and other senior officers.

The opening night of the Dikir event was held at Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque last Saturday which was attended by the Minister of Development, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman as the guest of honour.

The minister is also expected to attend the closing night of the Dikir Maulud event 'as the guest of honour at Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque on January 23.
