Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) and the departments under it yesterday held an Ibadah Korban ceremony at its premises.

Organised by the Department of Fisheries, the ceremony saw Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources Hajah Normah Suria Hayati binti Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Awang Mohd Jamil AlSufri handing out sacrificial meat, in her capacity as guest of honour, to 86 entitled staff members of the ministry and the departments under it.

The ceremony also saw the attendance of Deputy Permanent Secretary (Primary Resources Development) at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Hajah Hasnah binti Ibrahim, directors and deputy directors, as well as officials from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources and the departments under it.

A total of four cows and a goat were slaughtered for distribution.

The ceremony opened with the reading of the surah al-Fatihah and verses of the al-Quran specific to the Ibadah Korban, before concluding with a doa selamat.
