Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) continued to hold the Dikir Syarafil Anam event commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

On Tuesday night, the ministry held a similar function at Kg Lambak Mosque in Berakas.

It was led by the Minister of MIPR, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar. Other participants included officers and staff of the ministry, residents of Kg Lambak and its surroundings as well as representatives from the Ministry of Communications.

The function began shortly after the Maghrib prayer and continued after the completion of Isyak prayer. The function ended with a Doa Dikir by Imam Haji Muhammad Ashraf and a Doa Selamat was read by Imam Haji Awang bin Haji Metussin.

This year, MIPR has selected five mosques in the Brunei-Muara District for its officers and staff to participate to further enliven the celebration.

Tonight, MIPR will hold a similar event at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Sengkurong.

The culmination of this year's event is the procession to be held throughout the districts on January 24.
