Mini forum, Al-Quran recital and Marhaban performance enliven the ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources celebrated Maulidur Rasul Celebration yesterday in a ceremony that was held at the Dewan Amar Pahlawan at the Ministry of Communication.

The guest of honour was the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar.

The ceremony included a mini-forum that was chaired by an officer at the Islamic Dakwah Centre, Ustaz Hj Amin bin Hj Mohd Yassin, and included Ustaz Dr Hj Japar bin Hj Maidin of the State Mufti Department and Ustazah Hjh Zaliha bind Hj Ibrahim, a senior lecturer from KUPU SB in their capacities as the other members of the panel.

The forum focussed on the Maulidur Rasul celebration of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The ministry stated that the topic was not only suitable in line with the celebration, but also touched on issues of leadership, struggle, personality, morals, which are all characteristics that have remained relevant throughout the passage of time.

The highlights of the event included a recitation of Al-Quran by the winner of the 2012 National Al-Quran Reading Competition, Ak Mohd Adibul Amin bin Pg Hj Marzuki; and a Dikir Marhaban presentation from the KPSSU Dikir group.

A thanksgiving prayer then took place prior to the end of the ceremony.
