Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Development last night held their Hari Raya Aidilfitni celebration.

Held outside the building of the Land Department, Survey Department, and the Department of Town and Country Planning, the event saw the attendance of the Minister of Development, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi bin Hj Osman, and spouse as the guests of honour.

It also saw the attendance of permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, directors, section heads, officers and staff from the ministry and departments under it.

Last night's celebration carried the theme of 'Semerak Hijau Di Hari Raya' in line with the Ministry of Development's objective of moving towards a 'Green Environment'.

To mark the function, the minister, along with other VIP guests, joined in the festivities by getting up onstage to perform a Hari Raya song.

The minister, led by the chairman of the organising committee, Acting Surveyor General Hj Ali Bakar bin Hj Kassim went and visited 14 different stalls, which were designed by the respective departments under the ministry, as well as stalls from the whole ministry itself.

Throughout the event, various performances were presented, with quizzes and games also held to further enliven the proceedings.
