Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports hosted a Hari Raya gathering last night at the Digadong Hall at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Present as the guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Also in attendance was Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, as well as the permanent secretaries, directors, officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Pehin Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair began his welcoming remarks by wishing those who were present 'Selamat Hari Raya' and highlighted the importance of preserving our culture which is the identity and heritage of the nation, and encouraged the development of youth to build a sense of lasting identity and patriotism.

He also touched on team work, which is essential in ensuring the progress of each and every one of the programmes that the ministry has implemented and is planning to implement.

He also pointed out the importance of each and every officer and staff member of the ministry maintaining a certain level of professionalism and maturity, as well as completing all their assigned tasks.

He also encouraged staff members to be creative and innovative and always be highly committed to their work.
