Minister Leaves For S'pore

Bandar Seri Begawan - Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad bin Pengiran Hj Abdul Rahman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, and delegates left for Singapore yesterday to attend the 15th annual informal meeting of Religious Ministers of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) to be held at the Orchard Hotel.

Present to bid farewell was Pengiran Dato Paduka Hj Bahrom bin Pengiran Hj Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Permanent Secretaries and senior officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Also present was Mr Rajpal Singh, Deputy High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam.

At the biannual meeting, religious ministers of respective countries will review the minutes and resolutions of the 15th senior officials meeting (SOM).

The theme for the 15th MABIMS meeting is "Religion as a catalyst for community development and poverty eradication".
