Bandar Seri Begawan - Muslims nationwide will be celebrating Hari Raya Aidiladha today with the sunnat Hari Raya Aidiladha prayers signifying one of the important events in the religious calendar. The main focus will be at the Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah and Omar All Saifuddien Mosque.

The harmonious sounds of the Takbir reverberated throughout every corner of the mosque, performed by a combination of uniformed mosque youth groups.

In enlivening and glorifying a momentous occasion in Islam, the Minister of Religious Affairs (MoRA), Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji. Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman attended the Takbir event as the guest of honour. Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar; Permanent Secretaries at the MoRA, Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orarig Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof and Dato Paduka Awang Sa Bali bin Abas; Deputy Permanent Secretary Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid as well as officers and staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The event was further enlivened with the attendance of neighbouring communities and village residents Before the end of the event, a doa selamat was led by Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Mustafa bin Haji Murat.
