Kuala Belait - A man died after he suffered head injuries in an accident involving his car and a trailer yesterday.

The Sungai Liang Police Station received an emergency call at 8:55pm about the accident which occurred at Km 29, Lumut Bypass Highway.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the car was travelling from Anduki to Lumut, whilst the trailer was going from Lumut to Badas. The driver and a passenger in the trailer were not injured.

The trailer driver said he had parked his trailer at the roadside to rest for a while. He saw the car coming from the opposite way and hit the trailer and then the railing in the middle of the road.

The police and Fire and Rescue Department are investigating the incident.
