Korean Embassy Holds Appreciation Gathering For TOPIK Participants

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Embassy of the Republic of Korea hosted an appreciation gathering for participants who have successfully passed the "Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)" at the Korean Embassy in Brunei.

The gathering also served to promote friendship between Brunei youths and members of the Korean Embassy.

TOPIK is designed to assess and certify the language proficiency of learners of Korean as a second or foreign language. Test results can be used as a guideline for placing foreign students into Korean universities or non-native workers into enterprises in Korea or overseas.

This year, TOPIK was conducted at UBD on October 28, whereby 10 among 23 applicants passed the test for the beginner level, while one applicant passed the intermediate level for the first time.

The next TOPIK will be held in the middle of September or October 2013.
