Kuala Belait - Syarikat Lela Maju Berjaya in collaboration with Canang Citra Management Services and friends organised a Korban ceremony yesterday, with the distribution of sacrificial meat witnessed at a private residence at Simpang 363-29-73-12 of the National Housing Plan (RPN) Kampung Pandan 7.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Adina binti Othman was on hand to distribute the meat in her capacity as guest of honour.

To bless the ceremony, a recitation of surah al-fatihah and Takbir Hari Raya were read by Hj Mohd Alias bin Bakar, the Imam of Jamalul Alam Mosque Kuala Belait.

Six buffaloes were slaughtered and the meat was distributed to the recipients comprising orphans of Kampung Pandan C, less fortunate families, special children from Pusat Bahagia Eric Goh, and residents of the area.

Recipients expressed their appreciation to the organisers, saying the Korban meat has made their Hari Raya Aidiladha more meaningful as they can share it with their family.
