Bandar Seri Begawan - Three buffaloes were slaughtered yesterday in a Korban ceremony organised by members of the Kg Sengkurong 'A' Village Consultative Council (MPK Sengkurong 'A').
The sacrificial rites were held at the residence of the former village head of Kg Sengkurong 'A', Hj Serudin bin Nasir in Jalan Pasai 1.
Village residents who had newborn babies also contributed to the ceremony in the form of 'Aqiqah' to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty.
The Korban meat was presented by the Chairman of MPK Sengkurong 'A', Dato Paduka Hj Kassim bin Hj Johan. Also present was Awg Hj Abdullah bin OKMD Hj Saman, Acting Village Head of Kg Sengkurong 'A'.
Village residents joined hands in slaughtering the animals, which were contributed by over a dozen residents of the village.
