Bandar Seri Begawan - A certificate and Prize Presentation Ceremony took place yesterday to mark the closing of the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) 2012 programme of activities as well as the presentation of the Community Outreach Programme (COP) certificates to UBD students.

It was held at the KACA Centre in Kiulap and was officiated by the President of KACA Dato Paduka Hj Zainal bin Hj Momin.

The event was held to encourage KACA children to participate in KACA activities and programmes throughout 2012 with certificates and prizes given to KACA children who are actively involved in outdoor programmes such as visits, sports, walkathons and others. The event also served to recognise the teamwork and cooperation of parents who have contributed in whatever field and their active participation of KACA programmes as well as their participation in KACA visits.

The certificate presentation of the COP UBD meanwhile served to recognise their community work at the KACA Centre from August 8 to November 28.

The Managing Director of KACA, Hj Awg Abd Alim bin Hj Othman in his welcoming speech expressed his appreciation to those who have contributed or participated in activities as well as the smooth running of the centre.

He also highlighted on the outlined activities for year 2013, which include work visits to Thailand and Cambodia for parents, volunteers and staff of KACA as well as the National Sports Festival 2013 and several competitions for children with special needs.
