Bandar Seri Begawan - A job fair exhibition hosted by Mashhor Offshore Painting Services, a division of Mashhor Group of Companies, held a career talk and prospects open for the oil to gas industry, which is the major revenue for Brunei Darussalam.
The job fair made the students aware ofthe jobs available and the requirements for building a career on their own door step and achieve their goals, according to a press release.
Two hundred fifty students from Perdana Wazir Secondary School, Sayyidina Ali Secondary School, St James' School, St John's School, Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College and Pg Jaya Negara Pg Hj Abu Bakar Secondary School Kuala Belait attended.
The career introduction and the talk were done by local Bruneians trained and have climbed up their careers in Mashhor.
This was followed by a job demonstration outside the compound of the Dewan Persidangan Kuala Belait where a large scaffold tower with a bridge is displayed.
The job demonstration included blasting/painting, abseiling, scaffolding and painting Inspection for quality control and quality assurance.
The students who gave the correct answers were given prizes during a quiz on matters relating to the subject they learned from the career talk and job demo.
