Bandar Seri Begawan - In commemorating the fine achievements and accomplishments of students at both pre-school and primary school levels, Jigsaw Primary School held an Annual Concert 2012 at the Goldstone Ballroom of The Centrepoint in Gadong, last night.
One of the highlights of the celebration, which combined both joy and intimacy, was the moment when mothers were called on stage to join their children, all of whom were dressed in graduation robes.
Eleven students who had excelled in their PSR exams were also acknowledged with prizes for their final contribution in the school as they continue their academic progression in the forthcoming year.
Meanwhile, a total of 24 students from Year One to Year Five were presented with prizes. The different classes were categorised by inspiring elements such as Wonderful, Ambition, Sun, Star, Glory and Integrity.
Six students from Kindergarten III also received prizes for Best Readers "Burt Reading" who are advanced in reading beyond the expected age. Aleeya Maisarah binti Hj Roslan, aged six, years and seven months, was able to read a book that is deemed suitable for individuals who are aged 11 years and six months.
The concert was further enlivened with lively performances from both Kindergarten and primary school students, including worldwide hits such as "Waka Waka" by Shakira and "Nobody But You" popularised by Wonder Girls.
