Japan Festival At Times Square

Berakas - Bruneians will have another great opportunity to experience Japanese culture.

The Japan Festival, a series of events focusing on Japan, will be organised by the Times Square Shopping Centre, supported by the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, the Japan Foundation, the Japan Tourism Organisation (JNTO) and the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) - University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Chapter, at the Atrium of Times Square Shopping Centre from March 21 to 24 from 10am to 9pm.

According to a recent press statement, the programmes are designed to introduce Japanese traditional and contemporary culture, technology and lifestyle. They include booth exhibitions, Wadaiko -Japanese drum performances, martial arts demonstrations (Kempo,Kendo, Aikido, Karate), cooking demonstrations, Origami (paper folding), and Furoshiki (cloth wrapping) demonstrations, Japanese traditional toy games, and cosplay show, among others.

There are also various high-quality Japanese products for sale; Kitaro, Misato and Sno-Food will showcase healthy Japanese food products; ROYCE will sell Japanese Chocolate; THA (SHARP) and Multitrons (SONY) will display their ever popular Japanese electronics; and if you wish to actually visit Japan, Pan Bright Travel Service can help you to plan a fascinating trip to the country You can also collect various tourism information at JNTO exhibition booth.
