Kiarong - Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah yesterday received a hearse donated by Syarikat Bengkel Kereta Berakas Sdn Bhd.

The mock key handover ceremony was held at the mosque's car park area in Kg Kiarong.

The chief guest was the Acting Secretary of Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awang Haji Abd Aziz bin Haji Akop.

Also present were officers from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Mosque Affairs Department, officers from Jame' 'Mr Hassanil Bolkiah, Penghulu of Mukim Gadong, Village Heads of Kiarong, Kiulap and Kampong Menglait as well as representative from Syarikat Bengkel Kereta Berakas Sdn Bhd and committee member ofJame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiah led by Mudim Haji Tamin bin Haji Putting and followed by the presentation of the mock key for the hearse from a representative of Syarikat Bengkel Kereta Berakas Sdn Bhd to the chief guest who later handed over the mock key to Acting Senior Religious Officer of Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.

The chief guest and other invited guests viewed the vehicle and a Doa was read by Mudim Haji Tamin to bless the event.

The hearse will further facilitate the mosque's service to members of the public in need.
