Bandar Seri Begawan - The Human Resource Development Unit of Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB) held an in-house talk on graduate study in the United States. The talk was given by Ms Deidra D Avendasora, a Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in Brunei Darussalam. The application process, timelines, and entry requirements were explained during the talk.
The attendees also had the opportunity to listen to a first-hand account of studying in a US university from Zul-Fakhri Maidy, Chief Sub-Editor at the Borneo Bulletin. The Fulbright Scholar and Masters graduate from the University of Missouri also offered practical advice on settling down in the United State.
The talk was attended by ITB academic staff who are in line to pursue PhD studies in the fields of engineering, business and computing. It was held to assist the potential PhD candidates in making informed choices of possible destinations for undertaking their doctorate studies.
