Islamic Dakwah Centre Holds `Ilmu Tajweed' Course

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Courses Unit of the Islamic Dakwah Centre's Propagation Section, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), yesterday held their "Islamic Strengthening Course: Tajweed" for some 80 government officials, including 40 men and 40 women.

The two-day course took place at the Al-Muhazzib (men) and Al-Basyir (women), Darul Huda Building of the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

The objectives of the course were to provide knowledge to the participants on Tajweed and also to provide an in-depth explanation in enhancing the participants' knowledge on Tajweed.

Among the topics explained by the speakers during the two-day course were the introduction of Tajweed Knowledge, the objectives of learning Tajweed, the Law of Reading to name a few.

The speakers involved during the course session were Ustaz Imaharan bin Hj Metali and Ustazah Dyg Siti Noraziah binti Hj Ash, both officers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

The centre hoped that the workshop will help provide a better understanding to the participants and review their existing knowledge on the importance of Tajweed to be practised in life and the teachings of Islam with confidence and devotion to Allah the Almighty.
