Bandar Seri Begawan - The Information Department at the Prime Minister's Office through its National and Community Section yesterday organised a programme known as 'Rakan Remaja Penerangan' (RRP).
The guest of honour was the Acting Deputy Director of Information, Mawardi bin Hj Mohammad.
RRP is a performance package especially for youths to spread current information, instil the spirit of Social, National and Community wellbeing and to nurture youths to become agents in spreading positive information to their peers.
A total of 330 Year Six students from four primary schools were briefed on the programme as well as the importance of respecting the national flag and raising it when asked to do so.
The four schools invited to the RRP programme were SR Rimba I, whose choir group performed a dance and several songs; SR Rimba II, who ran a 'School Radio' programme, a dance and a Hadrah performance; SR Pengiran Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar with a drama performance entitled 'Scholarship'; and Tinkerbell Learning School, who gave a dance performance.
The students were also invited to participate in the National Quiz.
To entertain the students, the Information Department invited popular comedians in the segment 'lawak Jenaka'.
