Bandar Seri Begawan - A 38-year-old Indonesian man was fined $2,000 or to serve jail for three months in default of payment after pleading guilty before Chief Magistrate Hj Abdullah Soefri PD Hj Abidin to possession of contraband goods.

Mansur bin Husen said that he only brought clothing and nothing to declare importation on arriving at the Sungai Tujoh border control post on September 9 this year.

A further inspection conducted onto the defendant's vehicle revealed four cartons and 35 packets of contraband cigarettes hidden around the defendant's vehicle.
