Bandar Seri Begawan - A delegation from the Ministry of Kominfo and Community Information Group (KIM) Indonesia paid a courtesy call on the permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Awg Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni yesterday at the Prime Minister's Office Building in Jalan Kumbang Pasang.
The delegation, led by Drs Selamatta Sembiring, Director of the International Information, comprised four officers from the Ministry of Kominfo and five KIM representatives. They are in the country for a five-day visit from February 19 to 23.
Prior to the courtesy call, the foreign delegation also visited Radio Television Brunei (RTB) and Kampong Kapok in Muara. They were greeted upon arrival by the Kampong Kapok Consultative Council members and were briefed on the cultures and produce by the village. Further visits were also conducted to the Information Department, the Brunei-Muara District Office and Kampong Rataie Consultative Council, Kampong Belais and Buda-Buda Consultative Council in the Temburong District.
The visit aimed to enhance ties between the two nations in the field of information. The delegation will also witness Brunei's 29th National Day on February 23.
