Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 50 participants attended an "In-Service Training (LDP)" roadshow yesterday that was held at the Pencapaian Hall of the Civil Service Institute (IPA) in Kampong Rimba.

Present as the guest of honour was Awg Jaini bin Hj Abdullah, Director of Public Services Department (JPA). The event also saw the presence of representatives from the Civil Service Commission Office, Heads of Department of JPA as well as Human Resource Development from several ministries and departments.

In his welcoming remark, Awg Jaini emphasised that the LDP supporting documents from the respective departments should be presented in accordance to the allocated time given to them to avoid delays in making a decision.

He also stated that the supporting documents should also fulfill certain academic criteria as stated on the Prime Minister's Office Circular Bil: 10/2006.

He added that the human development process is also important to evaluate its effectiveness that might be useful for any succession plan in the future.

The guest of honour also hoped that the information presented from the briefings as well as the question and answer session will help to ensure that the LDP support will run smoothly.

A briefing was then presented by Dyg Noorafifah binti Hj Tengah, an officer from the In-service Management Unit of IPA, who pointed out the eligibility requirements for LDP and procedures in submitting the supporting documents to ensure that all the supporting documents and information presented to JPA within the allocated time period is complete and in order.

The LDP roadshow yesterday was intended for officers who joined the local and overseas training schemes for the 2013/2014 academic session that has commenced on January 2, 2013.
