Bandar Seri Begawan - Residents of Kampong Jerudong and Kampong Sengkurong yesterday participated in a Hijrah Walkathon 1434 organised by the Takmir committee of both Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Sengkurong and Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Jerudong.

The event was aimed to welcome and celebrate the New Year Hijrah 1434.

The guest of honour was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Awg Haji Abd Aziz bin OKML Haji Yussof.

The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed with a warming-up and aerobics session.

The guest of honour led the walkathon, which started at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Jerudong and ended at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Sengkurong.
