Bandar Seri Begawan - A fire broke out at a government-rented house last night which gutted most parts of the top floor of the house in Sg Hanching.

Twenty-one personnel led by Commanding Officer, Fire and Rescue Department, Abd Sufriyan bin Hj Abdul Hamid were involved in the operation.

Two fire engines from Berakas Fire Station and two from Lambak Fire Station were deployed to the scene after a distress call was received at 8.56pm.

The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined and was still under investigation at press time.

The estimated losses and damages to goods and valuables were also unknown.
