Bandar Seri Begawan - Seasons Restaurant at The Centre-point in Gadong is currently holding its latest food promotion: the ‘Authentic Flavours of Malacca Portuguese with Seafood Paella Specials'.
The promotion, which began on October 27 and will run until November 9, has received positive feedback from patrons, especially those who love to enjoy something different in their meals.
In conjunction with the two-week promotion, Royal Brunei Catering (RBC) flew in two celebrity chef sisters, Joan and Halen Danker, from the Portuguese Settlement Village in Malacca.
While in Brunei, the celebrity chefs will demonstrate and showcase their best Portuguese flavours for patrons to enjoy. At the same time, the chefs will bring the fusion of East and West cuisine from the World Heritage Site that was endorsed by UNESCO.
In an interview, Mrs Joan Danker said that they came from the direct line of Portuguese blood, where their parents are both Portuguese and have a lot of experiences in preparing Portuguese dishes.
"My sister and I have been exposed by our mother to learn the Portuguese herbs, dishes and ingredients since we were children," she said.
"Having such an early exposure, it slowly developed our interest in venturing more on Portuguese culinary until one day we decided to open up a restaurant that specially caters for Portuguese cooking."
Dishes like the delicious Chicken Debal Curry, Savoury Assam Prawn, Portuguese Chili Crab, Daily Roasted Peppered Lamb and Lisboa Seafood Paella will simply amaze patrons when either having a lunch or dinner buffet at Seasons Restaurant.
Also on offer will be their scrumptious desserts, such as the Quesidos de Sintro (Honey Cinnamon Cake), Portuguese Egg Tart and Sradura to name a few.
Lunch buffet is priced at B$19.90 for adults and $10.00 for children. As for dinner buffet, prices are $25.90 for adults and $15.00 for children. A 10-per-cent exclusive discount awaits RBC Privilege Dining Card members.
Patrons can redeem their $2.00 parking rebate when they park at the basement level parking area with a minimum spending of $20.00 at Seasons Restaurant.
