Kuala Belait - To mark the conclusion of Royal Birthday celebrations, a flag lowering ceremony was yesterday held at Menara Cendera Kenangan (MCK) in Jalan Sungai Kuala Belait.

The ceremony commenced after the arrival of Belait District Officer cum guest of honour Hj Haris bin Othman, following which a Surah al-Fatihah recitation was delivered by Hj Zakaria bin Roseta, a mosque officer from RPN Kg Pandan Mosque.

The national flag was lowered by Royal Brunei Police Force personnel.

It was then presented to the guest of honour, who then handed it over to the Assistant Belait District Officer to be kept. The ceremony ended with the recitation of a thanksgiving prayer.

Also present at the ceremony were the honourable members of the State Legislative Council, Pehin-Pehin, heads of Belait departments and branches, as well as members of mukim and village consultative councils.
