Bandar Seri Begawan - Five local men were each fined after they pleaded guilty to charges of gambling before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Morshidi bin Yussof and Taha bin Hj Binchut were fined B$5,000, or to serve six months' jail in default, for letting their place, a semi-detached house in STKRJ Kg Rimba Gadong on Oct 12, 2010 to be used for gambling.

Mohamad Norpadilah bin Tujoh, Sajali bin Salim and Jefrini bin Lati were sentenced to fine of B$1,000 or to serve two months' jail in default of payment of the fine.

Senior Magistrate Muhammed Faisal PDJLDDSP Hj Kefli also ordered for a B$150 reward to the informer of the case. DPP Nor Hafizah Ahmad prosecuted the case.
