Held in conjunction with the department's 53rd anniversary

Kuala Belait - The Fire and Rescue Department held a 'Capability and Emergency Response Demonstration' in Kuala Belait yesterday in conjunction with the department's 53rd anniversary.

About 70 members- from Kuala Belait Fire and Rescue Station, Seria Fire and Rescue Station, Sungai Liang Fire and Rescue Station, Labi Fire and Rescue Station and SPARK Fire and Rescue Station took part in the demonstration.

Two scenarios were set up during the demonstration; a fire at a hotel as well as an accident involving a car and vehicle carrying chemicals. In both 'incidents', the victims were trapped inside the building and car respectively.

The guest of honour was Assistant Belait District Officer, Pg Jeffrynul Hafli bin Pg Hj Ali.

Also present were the Director of Fire and Rescue Department, Awg Yahya bin Hj Abd Rahman, Deputy Director of Fire and Rescue Department, Lim Hock Guan, Assistant Director of Operations, Shahbandi Hj Abd Halim, senior officials, members as well as personnel of the Fire and Rescue Department and other guests.
