Farewell Luncheon For Outgoing French Ambassador

Bandar Seri Begawan - Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia Mr Mohammad Jameel Abdul Jaleel Hashim, yesterday hosted a farewell lunch at the Rizqun International Hotel to bid farewell to outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of France Mr Louis Le Vert.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr Mohd JA Hashim, who is also the Dean of Diplomatic Missions in Brunei Darussalam, took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the outgoing ambassador for his many endeavours throughout his years as ambassador here in Brunei.

In his farewell remarks, Mr Le Vert expressed hope the bilateral understanding and relations between France and Brunei will be stronger than before, adding that his years spent here had been a great experience for him in all aspects.

The outgoing ambassador said he enjoyed his stay in Brunei, the harmony and peace, describing Brunei as a "warm, friendly and welcoming country" The farewell lunch was attended by members of the Diplomatic Missions in Brunei Darussalam and their spouses.

Mr Louis Le Vert will leave Brunei this month upon completion of his tenure in the Sultanate.
