Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 28 pupils and four teachers from Qihua Primary School, Singapore, led by Cikgu Amran bin Tasrif, were on a three-day 'School Immersion Programme' at Jalan 49 Lambak Kanan. Primary School, Brunei Zone II A.
It was the fourth time that Jalan 49 Lambak Kanan Primary School hosted such programme for Qihua Primary School. The programme, which ran from May 2830, concluded with a farewell ceremony held at the school hall with a stage show.
The programme was aimed at providing a deeper knowledge of the traditional Malay culture. The Singaporean students learnt how to make traditional cakes and play marbles, and also took part in a tug-of-war friendly, among other activates. They also visited several places of interest in the Sultanate.
The chief guests at the farewell ceremony were the Acting Assistant Director for Brunei Zone II A at the Department of Schools, Cikgu Pg Othman bin Pg Karim and the school's Headmistress, Cikgu Hjh Norliah binti Hj Aspar. Also present were the students and teachers of both schools, and other invited guests.
