Bandar Seri Begawan - A Local business director held before the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday was sentenced to a fine of $3,000 or to serve three months' jail in default after pleading guilty to failure to make TAP contributions to an employee.

Pg Datin Hjh Iring Pg Hj Petra, Director of Amalgamated Electronics Sdn Bhd pleaded guilty to three charges of failing to make TAP contributions of a clerk named Mardian Hj Othman for the months of january, February and March, 2012.

The defendant was given one month's grace period to pay the fine.

DPP Hajah Atiyyah PD Hj Abas prosecuted the case.
