Bandar Seri Begawan - A participant from Miri, Sarawak, Mohd Taib bin Drahman emerged the champion of the car competition held in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Grand Expo organised by D'Lynmianz Event Management at The Airport Mall yesterday.
Second place went to Mohd Junaiddy Md Juni who drove a Toyota Echo and third place went to Patrick Diliu from Miri with his Proton Wira.
Mohd Husaini bin Ali Hassan, a staff member of D'Lynmianz Event Management said, "We judge the cars by the criteria of design, cleanliness, presentation and so on. There were 20 cars participating in the show with seven from Miri."
Having modified car could be costly but it didn't stop some car enthusiasts. Osman Zaini, one of the participants who had spent RM5,000 on his diamond cushion and won numerous awards in Miri, said, "It's always been my hobby. I love cars."
