Bandar Seri Begawan - In ushering in the Year of the Snake, Chinese communities in Brunei, particularly prominent businessmen, welcome the lion dance and dragon dance performances as a sign of blessing for the new year.

It was no different for Brunei-China Friendship Association Vice President Ang Swee Chuan, as he opened his doors to a lion dance troupe from Chung Hwa Middle School (BSB) to his home on the first day of Chinese New Year.

Meanwhile, a dragon dance troupe performed at the home of local businessman Lim Ting Chai, who counted Brunei-Muara District Officer Awg Hj Jamain bin Momin as one of his guests during his Chinese New Year 'open house.'
