Bandar Seri Begawan - Many women routinely like to match colours from their clothing to their makeup as in "one complete set", just like actress Song Hye Kyo in her romantic TV drama, "That Winter, The Wind Blows".

The usage of colour is in fact the key to look gorgeous, maintain the harmony of natural colour to the skin tone while the eye and hair colour are the major elements to present the best match of makeup.

Laneige has come up with some tips to find the perfect colour for matching eyes, skin, and hair colours.

According to Laneige Brunei Marketing Executive, Pat Li, when one asked the colour of the eyes, the answer may not be correct as the colouring is so much richer than that.

"Get a closer look at our eyes, the dark ring of colour around your iris - that you'd always assumed was black - is actually a very dark olive green," she added.

To find out the eye colour, first try looking in a mirror in natural daylight. Then find out the hair colour under natural daylight and identify the colour of the cheeks by pinching and see which shade of pink or red they become.

Next, take a picture during the day and avoid being too close to anything that might show up as a reflection in your pictures to find out your skin tone.

"For Asian ladies with wide upper eye lid, try to avoid pastel colours that may enlarge the weakness point of flat upper eye lid and instead try natural earth brown and dark purple.

"Some suggestions are for light brown eyes wear honey brown or green, dark green eyes wear plum or peach, mid-to-dark blue eyes try to wear gold or peach, dark brown eyes try to wear olive green or camel brown and hazel eyes try to wear moss green or purple," she concluded.
