DES Launches Prepaid Electricity Credit Machine In Seria

Kuala Belait - The Department of Electrical Services (DES) launched its second Prepaid Electricity Credit Machine located at its Seria Branch, Jalan Lorong Tengah Seria, Belait District. The Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) provides yet another alternative for prepaid customers in Seria and its surrounding to purchase electricity credits using cash which will operate 24/7.

According to a press release, the new CDM was launched by the Acting Director of the Department of Electrical Services, Awang Musa bin Metali.

The first CDM has been in operation since September 13, 2012 at the DES Headquarters, Old Airport, Berakas. The introduction of the said CDM was very much welcomed and it is becoming more popular to customers as electricity credit purchase can be made 24/7. It also features a simple and customer friendly user interface.

In a continuous effort by DES to provide better services, various mode of purchase have also been established and are readily available to customers, in addition to making purchase using the CDM as well as at the DES payment counters. The DES encourages customers to these alternatives - POWERkad at participating retail shops, supermarkets or Incomm website www.incomm.com.bn; DST Easi customers can use their Easi credit to purchase electricity credit token via DST SMS 8885555; BIBD Internet banking or BIBD Mobile Apps for BIBD account holders; online using Standard Chartered Bank's Credit Card or eCash Card via www.mybillpayment.biz; and online using Baiduri Bank's website via www.baiduri.com.bn.
