Temburong - The Department of Electrical Services (DES) held a discussion with Mukim Penghulus and heads of villages in the Temburong District and staff of the Temburong District Office recently.
The Acting Director of the DES, Hj Shawal bin Yaman visited and provided an explanation to those involved with regard to the restoration works being carried out on four diesel generators in the Belingus Power Station - a project that began last year and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The restoration of the generators will enable the supply of around 12 megawatts to residents in the district.
The restoration works, which are currently focusing on control systems equipment, may also result in interference in power supply.
The DES will ensure that such interference will be kept to a minimum through the use of a mobile generator.
Should power failures occur, residents are requested to dial 144.
