Bandar Seri Begawan - The Department of Electrical Services (DES) has announced that a power interruption is scheduled to occur at Simpang 442, Jalan Kebangsaan and its immediate vicinity, today, between 1.30pm and 4.30am.

The power interruption is to be carried out with the purpose of allowing a DES Mini Feeder Pillar to be replaced by maintenance staff.

Also today, in the Belait District, electrical power supply will also be cut in the areas of Perusahaan Air Mineral Sehat, Lumut, at Jalan Kecil Sungai Tali, from Simpang 217 to Simpang 295; Kampong Sungai Taring, from Simpang 161 to Simpang 281 and its immediate vicinity, between 9am and 12pm.

The electrical power interruption is to allow maintenance works to be carried out on equipment inside the 11kV substation. In addition, electricity to Sg Taring Lumut Religious School and its immediate vicinity will also be affected between 2pm and 5pm.

On Saturday, November 24, between 9am. and 12 noon, electrical supply to Skim Tanah Kurnia Rakyat Jati Housing in Seria, Simpang 43-38 to Simpang 43-58 and its immediate vicinity will be cut to allow for maintennacne works to be conducted on another 11kV substation. Meanwhile, electrical power to the Municipal Office, library, Jalan Perakong, Jalan Nakhoda Manis, Jalan Jerambak, and Lorong Bolkiah Seria will also be affected between 2pm and 5pm.

The department apologises for any inconveniences caused by the power disruptions and seeks public cooperation on the matter.
