Bandar Seri Begawan - With the objective of "safety first", De Country Star Company that specialises in motorcycle apparels focusing on safety of bikers opened its door for business yesterday at Madang Complex, Kg Madang.

One of its kind in Brunei, the shop features men's and women's fine motorcycle and sports apparel.

According to Stephanie Lim, the owner of the shop, "We see that there is great market potential with the growing trend of bikers in the country. Currently, we are starting small, bringing in products from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. As our business grows, we will also expand the product range.

"One of the uniqueness of the De Country Star Company is that if you are a member, you will get member's price and on your birthday, you are entitled to 50 per cent off on one item that you choose," she added.

Meanwhile, Didiyzemi, a local biker who also owns a shop in Serasa said, "The new biker's shop, De Country Star, offers good quality and affordable products. Some of the products are also stressing on safety. We as bikers have always emphasised on safety, especially at night, therefore this shop can cater to our safety needs."

Also present at the ceremony were bikers from various groups as well as Stephanie's family.
