Courageous Acts Awarded With Certificates Of Merit

Bandar Seri Begawan - During the Guard of Honour event to mark the 92nd anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday, 27 recipients including RBPF personnel, B Mobile officers, Immigration officers, Fire and Rescue personnel and Police Rangers of RU'C Company, were presented with certificates of merit in appreciating their commitment and services.

Fourteen personnel, including RBPF officers, B Mobile officers and an Immigration officer, received the certificates of merit for successfully finding evidences linking to a case of burglary involving five Indonesians, criminal breach of goldsmith outlet, and a robbery case that occurred in between December 2011 to April 2012.

They were Insp Ak Saiful Amirul Muhammad bin Pg Hj Ramlee (the Assistant Head of Taskforce Unit), Sgt 2819 Haji Yusran bin Haji Dagang (Investigating Officer), PC 4723 Md Yusri Hannah bin Lihan, Sgt 2442 Baha bin Haji Damit, Sgt 2769 Haji Ishak bin Haji Tengah, Sgt 3462 Amizuladi Azmi bin Mohd Shukri, Cpl 3383 Bahrin bin Haji Khamis, Cpl 3538 Alimin bin Aliakhbar, Cpl 4155 Haji Mohd Hassanudin bin Haji Damit (CSU Lab), L/Cpl 3297 Mohd Zaidi bin Haji Md Salleh, L/Cpl 4718 Liew Chee Chian, Immigration Officer Abdul Azmi bin Haji Juma'at and two B Mobile Officers; Reimieswandi bin Haji Awang Aji and Haji Suhardi bin Haji Sarpudin.

Another seven Immigration officers from Kuala Belait, led by Pmk Immigration Head Officer Hajah Jamilah binti Haji Masu'ut, also received certificates of merit for arresting a local citizen who hid two Indonesians inside the hood of a car, wherein the case was later handed over to the Taskforce Unit Serial Robbery Criminal Investigation Department. They were Senior Officer Hajah Ajijah binti Yunus, Senior Officer Jasmin bin Merusin, Officer Wasmali bin Abdullah, Officer Mohammad bin Haji Yusof, Officer Hartini binti Junaidi, and Officer Pg Fadzil bin Pg Haji Besar.

Receiving the certificate next were two firefighters, 1089 Ak Md Hazlan bin Pg Haji Idris and 1091 Muhd Zulhilmi bin Mohamad, for managing to capture a local criminal who tried to seize a victim's purse at the Bus Stop in Kampong Sumbiling, Tutong Road.

Meanwhile, four Police Rangers of RU'C Company, APO 6140 Marali bin Damit, APO 6147 Syazwan bin Haji Kefli, APO 6286 Razman bin Md Shah and APO 6312 Johari bin Haji Ruslan, received the certificates of merit for combating the smuggling of customs restricted goods, illegally bringing in 19 buffaloes.

Presenting the certificates of merit was the Commissioner of Police, Pehin Orang. Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Haji Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Haji Sabtu.
