Bandar Seri Begawan - The lifeless bodies of a couple were found in the basement of a department store in Jalan Muara, according to initial findings by the police yesterday.

It was understood that the couple, believed to be locals and dressed in Malay traditional attire, was found motionless in a saloon car by a parking booth assistant.

The spokesperson added that a call was made to the police at approximately 7.20pm by a security guard.

Initial reports stated that although the time of deaths were not known, paramedics from the RIPAS Hospital confirmed the deaths at the scene as police arrived to take over the case including a vehicle from the Crime Scene Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department.

Further details were not available at press time as police were still investigating.
