Bandar Seri Begawan - Members of the public are flocking to BRIDEX Hall in Jerudong for the largest assembly of products and services in the Sultanate, the Consumer Fair Part 10 (CF10).
The fair's most sought-after items would be the wide array of local food products.
Among those involved are the talented people behind Pines Restaurant and Breakwaters Cafe who are featuring some mouth-watering international fusion cuisine.
According to the General Manager cum chef of both eateries, Wan Shaiful Ihsan bin Hj Osman, the homemade food items and products being sold, including the popular Kimchi from Korea as well as the signature Italian dessert called the Panacotta made with blueberry butter - are prepared fresh daily and use the highest quality of ingredients.
"Our menus for CF10 are being offered with 50 per cent discounts off the original prices and in addition to that, customers who spend at our booth will also receive a 20 per cent voucher to dine at our restaurants," he said.
Meanwhile, Ray, Eric and Alex, two of whom are successful graduates of the famous culinary arts institute 'Le Cordon Bleu', have opened a pastry business called MAD (Making A Difference) Bites, that is receiving an overwhelming response for their sweet delicacies; namely, macaroons and scones.
Meanwhile, the Brunei's first authenticated instant Islamic Beryani paste is also making its mark at the CF10. Marketing Executive PW1(Rtf) Hj Juhan bin Hj Tuah guarantees that "You can cook your delicious biryani in 30 minutes... Our instant paste is blended with natural herbs with aroma to get the rich and real taste of the biryani."
The Consumer Fair 10 will end tomorrow, when it is expected to draw even bigger crowds. Doors open from 10am to 10pm daily, while entrance is free.
In accordance with its healthy lifestyle focus, the fair is also partnering with the likes of Fitness Zone Sdn Bhd, Gleneagles JPMC, the Breast Cancer Support Group Brunei Darussalam and the Health Promotion Centre for various promotions and activities, including a DIY salad eating competition
For the visitors' convenience, free shuttle buses will run regularly back and forth from the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre (Pusing Lagi area) to the event's venue.
