Bandar Seri Begawan - The Public Works Department (PWD) has informed the public that it has made a reassessment of the closure of Jalan Tengah in Seria following an unexpected and overwhelming traffic jam due to its closure on May 29 and that the road has now been reopened.
In view of traffic conditions proving to be worse than anticipated, the department will have to look into the provision of a temporary bailey bridge at the location.
The construction of the temporary bridge will take two to three months to complete before traffic can be diverted.
The PWD has apologised for the inconvenience caused due to the road closure and asked for the public's cooperation and understanding in this matter.
Any further complaints or suggestions can be directed to the Ministry of Development's hotline at 140.
